A Prophetic Manifesto for Asia
PREAMBLE
Asia,
Home to over 50 nation states, 7696 people groups, 2300 languages, 4.9 billion lives.*
* 60 per cent of the world population
Asia,
Backdrop to the garden of Eden;
birthplace of ancient civilisations.
Asia,
Landscapes marked by the footprints of Christ,
as he walked and lived out his earthly life.
Asia,
Mobilisation centre of the first Apostles;
home to early Church Fathers.
Asia,
Dwelling place of Christ-followers and Christian communities for over two millenia.
Asia,
Host of the Council of Nicaea and birthplace of the Nicene Creed.
Asia,
Scene of the Great Schism (1054);
the parting of ways between East and West.
Asia,
Territories given over to Islamic conquest, commerce and statehood.
Asia,
Playground of 33 koti deities,
tens of thousands of gods and Buddhas.
Asia,
Nations forced into false common identity
by Imperial imaginations of the West;
its sheer mass, diversity and uniqueness of peoples, cultures and tongues overlooked.
Asia,
Breeding and birthing ground of modern Empires of the East: Imperial Russia. Imperial China. The ‘Empire of the Rising Sun’ (Japan).
Asia,
Theatre of World Wars, battleground for proxy wars.
Asia,
Forging place of nationalism and national identities, as antitheses to colonialism and Empire;
divine designs, lost.
Asia,
Scene of accelerated economic ‘miracles’; seedbed of innovation and ingenuity.
Asia,
Shadowed by tyranny, oppression and injustice;
the silencing of countless ethne and robbing of their destinites.
Asia,
Storms of expansionist aggression brewing; counterforces, receding.
Asia,
Ready to crash;
ready to rise.
Asia,
Field of the great Global Harvest.
PROPHETS RISING
In Asia, prophets of the Triune God awake and emerge.
The generation of prophets who were never allowed to be prophets, and went into hiding -
in caves.
The generation of prophets who are coming into their calling, now.
A generation of prophets who must uproot,
tear down, destroy and overthrow;
A generation of prophets who must build and plant (Jeremiah 1:10).
UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES
We, the prophets in Asia and over Asia,
resolve to become the voice of God.
We speak with clarity and conviction,
understanding the times and seasons
(1 Chronicles 12:32) in which
the Ecclesia of Asia stands:
A time of disintegrating global order.
A time of war and chaos.
A time of earthquakes, famines and pestilences.
A time of great persecution and pain.
Yet,
A time of re-birth
of nations and people groups.
A time of emerging
of the remnant, pure and powerful.
A time of preparation
for the holy, Spirit-powered,
unified and victorious Bride.
A time of great harvest
for billions of souls.
A time of glory
for Christ,
who is returning.
WE, THE PROPHETS OF ASIA
We, the prophets of Asia,
take our place as spiritual leaders in the Ecclesia,
given by Christ for equipping and maturing (Ephesians 4:11-13).
We boldly and unapologetically stand and speak as prophets.
We are ‘covenant watchdogs’ for the Ecclesia.
We are truth-tellers who live and die to hear the voice of God clearly, and without compromise.
We are upholders of justice: defenders of the widows, orphans and foreigners.
We are foretellers and forth-tellers of the things to come - that the Eccleia may be positioned and prepared.
We are those whose lives are given to embody
and display the message of God to His Ecclesia, His people.
We prophesy regarding peoples, nations, languages and kings (Revelation 10:11),
according to the scope of our spiritual mandate and authority.
We lead the charge in spiritual warfare,
to shift and steward spiritual atmospheres
over nations and peoples across Asia.
We walk in friendship with, and partner with,
the Ephesians 4:11 leadership functions of the Ecclesia.
We love and build up, but we also confront and challenge the Ecclesia of Asia -
that it may undertand the times and know what it is to do
(1 Chronicles 12:32), and keep in step with the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:25).
GREAT AND EFFECTUAL DOORS
The prophets of Asia decree the opening of great and effectual doors (1 Corinthians 16:9) for the Ecclesia:
Doors to move beyond colonial legacies and
the structures, systems, cultures, mindsets and behaviours created by them;
to discover and recover the unique Imago Dei gifted to the ethne of Asia;
to call them into the understanding of their roles and destinies - in times such as these.
Doors to contribute to a more complete understanding of God, enriching and expanding global theological discourse and practise,
through the revelation and wisdom entrusted to the Ecclesia in Asia, as they discover and recover their God-given identities and mandates.
Doors to expedite the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) without carrying the spirit of Empire;
to birth and scale Apostolice alliances and movements of Asian origin and design;
to take responsibility for reaching the unreached ethne in our territories.*
* 85% of the world’s unreached people groups reside in Asia.
Doors to save lives, to rescue and receive people displaced by war and conflict;
to provide safe places of dwelling for them;
to embrace the unique call to reach the ethne in their places of displacement, by becoming the Gospel to them, demonstrating the love of Christ in practical, physical as well as spiritual ways.
Doors to creating new economies, to birth and scale new economic systems and actors - called out of Babylon - from Asia, based on Kingdom economic princples and values (Deuteronomy 14, 15, 23, 24);
to resource Kingdom-advancing works and bring life to nations and peoples across the world.
DECLARATION
We, the prophets of Asia, declare that:
We will live in relentless pursuit of the voice of God, without compromise, rooted in the Logos and inspired by the Rhema.
We will guard our purity and wholeness of heart as prophets, committed to community and spiritual accountability.
We will take on and bear the weight of leadership for the Ecclesia across Asia, committing ourselves to that responsibility, doing whatever it takes.
We will not build empires for ourselves or for others;
we will build up the Ecclesia to become the pure and radiant Bride that Christ is returning for.
We will move in accordance with God’s strategic placements and movements, establishing prophetic leaders and strengthening prophetic capabilities, wherever we go.
We will speak forth the justice of God and speak out against injustice, wherever it is found.
We will see and steward ever-increasing levels of glory, as the Ecclesia secures the Great Harvest and emerges victorious.
Until the return
of our Lord Jesus Christ
and the full arrival
of the Kingdom of God
here on earth.
